My name is Andrea Carroz and I am a fourth-year journalism and Spanish student at the University of Florida. Ever since I learned English, my second language, I developed a love for reading fiction novels and later writing them. Having been born in Venezuela has also inspired me to perfect my Spanish in order to one day write books in both languages.

As a student, I have expanded my journalism skills through several print media internships including The Tampa Tribune during summer 2013, The Gainesville Sun during fall 2013, Advantage Publishing spring and fall 2014, and currently at the University of Florida Center for Leadership and Service. I am interested in a career as a graphic designer; and I believe that I am a strong candidate thanks to my work produced through the graduate courses in the Web Design and Online Communications Graduate Certificate program the College of Journalism and Communications offers at UF.

In the mean time, you may find the designs and stories I have worked on for several publications and classes under the ‘Articles/Designs’ tab. You may also follow my Tumblr blog for helpful writing tips and to learn more about my interests under the ‘My tumblr blog’ tab.
